Doing the impossible?

Transforming a steeply sloping hillside into a functional and inviting space can significantly enhance the usability of a property. For this project, we terraced the hillside, which the owners initially believed was unusable, to create a multi-level yard for their family.

The design includes a spacious deck that provides a perfect spot for outdoor gatherings, as well as synthetic turf that offers year-round green aesthetics with minimal maintenance. The synthetic turf is not only practical but also safe for children and pets, making it an excellent addition for family activities.

Additionally, we incorporated patio areas into the landscape, creating inviting spaces for relaxation and entertainment. These patios serve as transitions between the various terraces, making the entire yard feel cohesive and accessible.

On the lower terrace, we established a vegetable and fruit tree garden, allowing the family to enjoy fresh produce right from their own yard. This garden not only enhances the beauty of the space but also encourages sustainable gardening practices and provides an engaging family activity.

Overall, the terraced hillside now stands as a functional and attractive yard that meets the family's needs for recreation, relaxation, and gardening.
