Carving out spaces

This project transformed a riparian zone into a versatile, multi-tiered space designed for relaxation, social gatherings, and playing pickup basketball games. The design integrates a variety of materials that harmonize with one another, including natural stone, slate, wood, and engineered wood. These elements have been carefully selected not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their durability in an often wet environment.

The multi-purpose area features expansive seating arrangements, providing comfort and accessibility for visitors. The basketball court is strategically placed to allow for both recreational use and unobstructed views of the lush surroundings, encouraging active engagement with the environment.

To soften the hardscape, delicate yet hardy plantings have been incorporated throughout the space. This greenery contributes to the overall appeal, providing seasonal color and texture while ensuring resilience in local conditions. The thoughtful design of this project will allow the spaces to mature gracefully, enhancing the landscape and offering a welcoming atmosphere for years to come.
