Subtropical feel

We designed a versatile outdoor space for a family that enjoys outdoor entertaining, enhancing their yard with functional and aesthetically pleasing features. The project included poured structural concrete walls that provide both stability and a modern touch. These walls are thoughtfully terraced and accented with alternating benches and planters, adding layers of interest to the landscape.

At the heart of this design is a custom-designed fountain from Replica in Petaluma, seamlessly integrated into the wall. This fountain, along with the subtropical plant materials that surround it, creates a tranquil “staycation” atmosphere, inviting relaxation and enjoyment.

Further enhancing the outdoor experience, the yard features a fire bowl that becomes a focal point for gathering and warmth. An outdoor kitchen connected to a spacious deck allows for seamless dining and entertaining. This kitchen includes a built-in trellis, a stainless steel gas grill, a sink, and a refrigerator. The concrete countertops are complemented with a mosaic tile inlay, adding an artistic flair to the functional space.

Overall, this project not only meets the practical needs of a busy family but also fosters a welcoming and engaging environment for entertaining guests.
