The design for the client's property in West Marin effectively captures the essence of a Sonoma Spa through careful selection of materials and plantings. We prioritized drought-tolerant plant species, ensuring sustainability while embracing the local environment. The inclusion of three mature olive trees adds an authentic touch, contributing both aesthetic value and shade.

To complement the natural elements, we incorporated clean hardscape features, including concrete walkways that guide visitors through the landscape. Walls adorned with horizontal cedar fencing create a sophisticated yet warm boundary while enhancing privacy.

Open areas feature thoughtfully placed boulders, providing visual interest and texture, while the surfaces are finished with decomposed granite for a natural, earthy look. This choice not only supports drainage but also reduces water use, aligning with the site's sustainability goals.

The entire property is illuminated with designer LED lighting, strategically placed to enhance the ambiance during evening hours, allowing the beauty of the space to shine through. This cohesive approach results in a stunning outdoor retreat that embodies relaxation and natural beauty, reflecting the desired Sonoma Spa feel.
